SRED

What is the SR&ED Program?

The Scientific Research and Experimental Development (SRED) Program is a federal tax incentive program to encourage Canadian businesses of all sizes and in all sectors to conduct research and development in Canada that will lead to new, improved, or technologically advanced products or processes.

Have you:
  • developed a new process?
  • developed a new product?
  • improved an existing product?

If you answered YES then you may be eligible for SRED tax rebates.

Who Qualifies?
Any Canadian controlled private corporation can earn an investment tax credit (ITC) of 35% up to the first two million dollars of qualified expenditures for SRED carried out in Canada. Other Canadian corporations, proprietorships, partnerships can earn and ITC of 20% of qualified expenditures for SRED carried out in Canada.

Which Projects Qualify?
Projects that qualify must show:
  1. Scientific or Technological Uncertainty
  2. Technological Advancement
  3. Systematic Investigation

Sound difficult, it's not. That's why you need to contact us. We will set up a short interview with your organization to discuss your business objectives and review projects that you have and are currently working on. At the end of the interview we will be able to access if you have a eligible claim. This short consultation is at no cost to yourself.
